Illinois Monument Trailhead at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (Eastern Time Zone). The parking lot/meeting point is at the end of Cheatham Hill Drive (not Road) off of Dallas Highway (120). We will direct you to an overflow lot if necessary. Cost $5.00 parking fee if you do not have a US National Park Pass

Shauna has lined up the perfect hike to kick off year, just a few miles south of the Marietta Square. This 5.5 mile loop trail makes up the southern section of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. We will walk through rolling hills along this multi-use trail followed by lunch on the Marietta Square, at Marietta Pizza Company. This is your opportunity get back into the swing of things without fear of over exertion. Thanks to the new sidewalk along Cheatham Hill Rd you can cut the time in the woods in half if it feels like you’re in over your head. You don’t even have to wake up early! Please note the 1:00 pm start time.
