 precious during Minnesota summers so we’re going to try something a li
 ttle different – a weekday morning hike beginning at 9AM on Thursday\,
  August 20. We recognize that this excludes those who work weekdays. Res
 t assured\, we will continue to host hikes on the weekends.\n\nJoin us f
 or this moderately challenging 7-8 mile hike on compact dirt trails thro
 ugh beautiful and hilly Murphy Hanrehan Park Reserve. While the total el
 evation gain is only about 600 feet\, the regular up &amp\; down will gi
 ve you a taste of what it’s like to hike in the foothills of the Pyren
 ees\, Asturias or Cantabrian Mountains. This trail has pit latrines avai
 lable every 3 miles.\n\nThere will be no drinking water available on the
  trail so please make sure that you bring water on this hike. And even i
 f you’re not wearing a pack\, walking sticks may prove helpful on the 
 hills. There are picnic tables at the start/finish – consider packing 
 a sandwich or snack for yourself to replenish at the end (you may leave 
 it in your vehicle during the hike).\n\nThe hike will be led by Minnesot
 a Chapter member\, Alli A. Alli is the Parks Wellness Programmer in the 
 Three Rivers Park System in Scott County. Murphy Henrehan Park is in the
  Savage/Prior Lake area so please plan your drive accordingly.
