il coloradofrontrange@americanpilgrims.org\n\n\n\nIt's time for our Ann
ual High Line Canal and Fairmount Cemetery walk/hike.  And how appropri
ate that it is on Halloween\, this year!\nFairmount Cemetery is one of D
enver's most historic cemeteries\, where you will see some of Denver's a
nd Colorado's pioneers and founders.  This was always a favorite hike f
or our founder\, Gene McCullough.\nAfter walking about 1.6 miles along
the High Line canal\, we will enter Fairmount Cemetery where we will sha
re stories about some of the "residents" in Fairmount\, that are gleaned
from Gene's Fairmount notebook.   We will see some same and different
residents from years past.\nThe trail is mainly flat and essentially asp
halt with some concrete areas\, and in the cemetery we will have gravel/
dirt roads and some uneven grassy areas to walk over as we view the head
stones of the "residents".  Be sure to bring a small stone or two to la
y on some special headstones\, with one in memory of Gene.  \n\nIf you
are a new pilgrim and leaving on Camino in fall of 2026\, on the sign u
p form\, be sure to request a "mini-shell" ceremony--and we will do this
at the Gazebo in Fairmount.  (A donativo is requested to help defray o
ur costs.  Thank you.)\n\nAs always\, be sure to dress for conditions
and bring water\, a snack\, a hat and sunscreen for the hike! If you us
e hiking poles\, you may want to bring those. Be sure to sign-up for th
e hike\, as this time of year the weather is variable and we may need to
change dates. There is a restroom at Long’s Pine Grove Park\, and als
o at the Mausoleum in Fairmount. \nRemember: No dogs allowed per Americ
an Pilgrims policy.....\n\n\nWhat you Need to Know:\nWhat:  A 6+ mile
