 ENT DESCRIPTION:We'll meet at 9:30AM at the Klondike Park Boat Launch pa
 rking lot on Hwy 94 - this is the same parking lot for the Miss Augusta.
  We'll start our hike directly across the Katy Trail at the Klondike Par
 k entrance trail. We'll then hike up the blacktop paved hill to Klondike
  Park\, around the Lake Loop Trail\, up to the lookout\, back down to th
 e Katy Trail\, and then back to the parking lot. The hike is approximate
 ly 4 miles total. Total hiking time is approximately two hours including
  restroom and water breaks.At the conclusion of the hike\, we'll drive t
 o the Good News Brewery in Defiance for lunch and fellowship. The brewer
 y has ample parking\, indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate the weat
 her and group’s preference.\n\n\nDIRECTIONS:From Hwy 40/61:* Exit Hwy 
 94 and go South.* Continue through the town of Defiance (obey speed limi
 t signs).* Approx 2.5 miles past the town of Defiance\, the Klondike Par
 k Boat Launch parking lot will be on your left.\nTRAIL:This is an easy t
 o moderate hike on pea gravel trails and blacktop paved paths. There is 
 one moderate ascent from the KATY trail to Klondike Park\, and another o
